Usapang Pinoy with Dr. Joy Barredo

I had a very interesting night last night as I was writing my previous post.

Dr Joy BarredoI have been tuning in to Future Radio at 11 pm local time for the past three weeks trying to catch Dr. Joy Barredo in her UK radio program Usapang Pinoy but the last two weeks were pre-recorded programs. Last night I was lucky. She was on live and with a special guest, too, The Reyna Elena, the queen of Philippine blogosphere. They talked about politics, jobs, and other issues such as how Reynz ended up in the US. Through IM, I was able to join in some of their discussions, as I shared some of my overseas experiences, specifically when I taught what would be equivalent of grade 3 in the Philippines, for a short while in Madrid, Spain. I related how the kids would play football inside the classroom!

Reynz admitted he did not know me so I sent a message saying that I once posted a comment on his blog about discrimination (I think I misspelled it as descrimination) but he snobbed me ( I sent it with LOL to mean I wasn’t upset at all about it.) It turned out that he searched his blog and was able to find my comment.

One hour quickly passed as I heard Dr. Joy announced the few minutes left of the show. I sent perhaps half a dozen messages but due to lack of time, she wasn’t able to answer them. Well, there would be some other time for them.

    hehehe! you are just in Marikina, very close to where i live in Sta Lucia, Pasig, siguro naman you can bike from Marikina to Ortigas anoh? hehehe! I should be there in May.

    Hi Reynz, yes I live in Marikina, isang padyak lang papunta sa Pasig. Pwede akong magbitbit ng crankset, pedal, handlebar…mga bike parts…hehehe…

    @melai: Oo nga naisnab ako, pero di bale binisita na ako ng Reyna kaya OK na kami…lol…Wag ka ng magwork, parang idenonate mo na lang yung sweldo mo sa kawang gawa, makinig ka na lang…hehehe…

    @repah: makinig ka sa April 5 ha! Kahit na 11:00 ng gabi dito sa atin…
