I never thought that taking pictures at night would be too hard. The camera that I used is an Olympus point and shoot one, but as the pictures came out, they were more of a point and shoot at nothing shots.
It was the first time I took night pictures and it also took awhile before I got the hang of it. In most of the shots that I discarded, the subject was long out of the frame before the flash went on and captured the image. So what was to supposed to be a great shot of a bike turned out to be a one of a kind shot of a white wall. Nevertheless, I still managed to get some pictures of the people I met on the way home, one Friday night…
Kind of dark, but the street lamps are doing their job, illuminating the road, and thus making it safe, even for a biker at around 12:30 AM.
These bikers came as a surprise…they were a group of young bmx riders on their way to I don’t know where…I hope their mothers know where they are…
This one I caught on camera while crossing Marcos highway. He crossed it without incident, even if he didn’t have anything on him to make himself more visible to the drivers speeding along the highway…
We all know what bike lanes are for, and they stay that way anytime of the day. But the driver/owner of this van seems not to know it at all. Perhaps he thinks that the night belongs to him.
My camera hardly caught this one, but you can still see that he has the proper tail light, making him visible at least to drivers behind him. He was crossing Sumulong highway, coming from the Marikina Sports Complex.
